ABOUT THE ARTIST

Driftwood Art Studio by Z uniquely follows the life journey and talent of an artist who embraces the elements of nature in his compositions and brings to life the wonders of the underwater world.

A fisherman at heart and a civil engineer by trade, Z integrates both passion and skill in his artwork, using primarly the organic medium of driftwood as found in its natural state along the shores of oceans and seas from around the world.

He designs and adds copper fins to driftwood pieces, cutting them intricately from copper sheets and painting them using a unique heating and cooling method. Z’s pieces are one of a  kind, each designed from the deep sea of his imagination by the simple virtue and beauty of nature.
